3rdAnnual Arizona Week for the Animals kicks off on Saturday November 12, 2011. The week will conclude on Sunday, November 20th. See our Calendar of Events page for details on events taking place across AZ during the amazing Week for the Animals. We are adding events up to the week and as they become organized.

Throughout the week, shelters, rescue groups, and humane organizations across the state will be hosting wonderful animal-related special events. Educators, students, businesses and caring citizens across Arizona will be joining in, all in planning activities to celebrate and help animals.
Events will include adoption fairs, spay-neuter awareness events, shelter days, R.E.A.D. dog programs in libraries, donation drives, walks for the farm animals and therapy dogs visiting hospitals /nursing homes.
Also to be included are a salute to our canine military and police dogs, feral cat initiatives, animal law events, educational programs at the sanctuaries and conservation activities at zoos, blessings for the animals, and full-filled festival days for families to come and enjoy food, music and the amazing animals!
Become Involved! Events are being planned now, and we need animal lovers everywhere in Arizona to start planning so they can participate! See the page "Become Involved" on this website for lots of great ideas and suggestions on what you can do.
