Fire Horse Ranch Equine Discovery Experience

Fire Horse Ranch
38254 N 1st St.
Phoenix, AZ 85086

An Equine Guided Discovery Experience where you'll experience laughter, self-discovery, and personal empowerment as you work and play with the horses in this unique day-retreat for women.

Do you ever feel your heart’s desires conflict with what your mind perceives as possible or right? Do you ever feel the most important relationship, the one with yourself, is distant, strained or simply needs some attention? Does fear, confusion, or lack of clarity hold you back in...your life, your career, your relationships, or your dreams?

When the inner connection to our heart and soul becomes strained, confused or disconnected speaking our truth, listening to our intuition, and feeling empowered becomes difficult. Life can become heavy, confusing, and leave us feeling stuck.

During Horse Play, working hands-on with the horses, you’ll:
-Have insightful moments of self-discovery and awareness leading to greater empowerment
-Learn skills and tools so you can easily take charge of your life without hesitation
-Discover clarity that both your heart and mind can embrace and comfortably support
-Identity limiting beliefs and how to harness their power to release them, allowing you to blossom bigger and better than you can imagine
-Re-new your courage and strength to create a joy-filled life

Equine Guided Discovery is about experiencing yourself and the world around you, with horses as your guides and coaches. It is not a riding program, rather an in-the-moment experience of self-discovery, growth and empowerment that changes lives.
Investment: $150 **Play Now Price is only $125

Register online at http://firehorseranch.com/horse-play-a-day-of-play-and-self-discovery/    Includes: Coaching, lunch/light snacks, materials
One-on-one private Equine Discovery Coaching is available Sunday and Monday, November 11th and 12th. Please inquire to reserve your private session.

AAWL & SPCA Walk to Save Animals

Tempe Town Lake
80. W. Rio Salado Pkwy
Tempe, AZ   85281

Founded in 1971, Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA was the first no-kill shelter in Arizona. For the past 17 years, we have hosted the Walk to Save Animals to give EVERYONE an opportunity to step up and step out to help homeless animals. Last year alone, thousands and thousands of healthy, or easily treatable, animals were put to death in our community, and AAWL & SPCA won’t rest until ALL healthy animals find loving homes.  Visit   http://aawl.org/events/walk-save-animals

Please walk alongside of us on Saturday to help us raise the funds necessary to save more pets from a premature death. AAWL & SPCA is on track to save over 4000 animals this year and give them a second chance at life.

Each one of us who walks on behalf of animals adds another life to those we save. So, ask your friends and family to step up and help the animals that count on us for their survival. Form a Walk team, collect donations and even if you can’t attend the Walk, help save those precious animals from death by donating to this important cause. 480-423-1511

We take in hundreds of homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens every year from Native American lands in and around Northern Arizona and from the euthanasia lists of other organizations in Arizona. We strive to find loving, responsible “forever homes” for these animals, and provide their new guardians with the information they need to provide the best possible long-term care.  Website is

Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center Open House

Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center
North of Pinnacle Peak Road
west of I-17 in Phoenix
Phoenix, Arizona 85080-2386

The Arizona Game and Fish Department is offering the public a rare glimpse into the Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center.  Come out to our free open house on Saturday, Nov. 17 and Sunday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

“Visitors will have the opportunity to see bobcats, ringtails, eagles, reptiles and many other animals, view educational displays, and meet wildlife experts,” said Sandy Cate, coordinator of the center. “It’s a great opportunity to see wildlife up close.”

Although the center continues to provide immediate triage and rehabilitation services—more than 1,000 sick or injured animals are brought to the facility annually—emphasis has shifted more toward wildlife education. Staff and volunteers conduct educational outreach programs at events and schools across the state, reaching more than 100,000 Arizonans a year.

The Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center is located north of Pinnacle Peak Road just west of I-17 in Phoenix. It is on the same property as the Adobe Mountain Juvenile Detention Center. Officers and volunteers will be giving directions for parking once at the facility.
Admission and parking for the open house are free and food will be available for purchase. For more information about the Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center, go to www.azgfd.gov/wildlifecenter

AAWL & SPCA Thanksgiving Day Manners Class

Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA
30 N. 40th Place
Phoenix, AZ 85034

It's that time of year again... the Holiday Season is upon us.  This can be a stressful time for family pets that are not accustomed to a lot of change. Holidays bring lots of strangers and commotion, decoration changes, delicious smelling foods that can prove fatally tempting, and the most confusing of all... a tree INSIDE the house!

Don't wait until the night before your extended family arrives to realize that your dog gets crazy when people come through the door. Or worse, find out once you place your perfectly wrapped expensive gift for your loved one under the tree that your dog thought it was a chew toy. Sign up now for our 2 hour holiday seminar to help teach your dog basic obedience that can help counteract negative behaviors such as jumping on guests, door dashing when people come in, begging at the table, chewing presents around the tree and much much more. https://aawl.org/ssl/events/thanksgiving-day-manners

Rascally Rabbit Rescue
and Critter Haven of Arizona, Inc.

If you want to meet a certain rabbit at any of our adoption events, please email us and let us know which pet and which event so we can take him/her to that event. Feel free to take a second to get to know all our adoptables on our adoption page or through Bunspace. Adoptions and events take place across the state.

We rescue rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas and mice. We then provide vet care, food, shelter, love, while searching for the pet's forever home.
We have a variety of fundraisers throughout the year.  Every holiday season, starting after Thanksgiving, we participate in gift wrapping for donations at a few different stores and always need volunteers.

Note that we're looking for volunteers for fundraisers and foster homes, it would be a big help.  We don't have money for a shelter, so we only use foster homes and need more homes to save more animals. For more info, visit us  at

A Prayer for the Animals
~An Official Arizona Week for the Animals event~

Join  those of us who would like to observe a moment of prayer for the precious animals. We are requesting prayers from 5-6 pm Mountain time on Sunday, November 18th. This is a multi-faith observance.

We can offer prayers, poems and memorials to our animal or all animals wherever we are and light a candle by doing so.Wherever you are, if you can observe a moment for the animals who need us...that collective energy will surely grow and bring light to our cause to love, assist and help them from any and all suffering.
